Personal Mission Statement

I seek first to learn and understand, then to help. I want to experience life widely, yet have a few deep relationships. I want to look back on my life and see that it made a positive difference:

As a husband, friend, and family member;
As a teacher and professional; and
As a community member.

I seek inner peace revealed as stalwartness and centeredness, inner direction revealed as drive and devotion, inner strength revealed as gentleness and integrity, inner passion revealed as enthusiasm and compassion. I seek a life filled with passion and compassion.
